Fun day at the Zoo!!

We went to the zoo today and had a blast. What a beautiful day it was! Not too, too hot but still sunny enough for me to get sun burned. Drat! I forgot sunscreen for all of us and our tickets for free admission. So our free family outing was so NOT. Drat squared.
So, we realized on the way there that we had left our passes sitting on the counter, each of us thinking the other had grabbed them on the way out. Fooey. We kept on keepin' on anyway. After telling the 3 year old that you're going to the zoo, there is NO backing out. Riley was so excited and as usual, Olivia had no clue what was going on. :P

What a good mommy I am to grab my camera to take pictures of her when she is obviously missing a nap and in some sort of personal torment! LOL LOL I don't feel guilty for a second. I fully admit to being a mean mommy.
We had an exhausting time at the zoo. Next time we go (with free passes in hand!) we're going to take the monorail around the zoo to cut out some of the walking. My dogs are barking really bad now. Here's a few shots from our day:

Riley ::loved:: the giraffes and I love the okapi so we enjoyed the African savannah immensely. :) Olivia liked the Galapagos tortoises and I had a hard time keeping her out of their enclosure. In fact, my daughter (the one full of beans) wanted to climb in nearly every animal habitat that she got near. I'm proud of her determination but really pushed to my limits by her antics at time. We had a good time anyway! :)
So, I can't remember if I mentioned it in another post or not, but damn I am busy with pet sitting and what not in my neighborhood. I'm so thankful that I decided early on to limit my work environment to just my neighborhood. Otherwise, I'm afraid I would be swamped with work. As it is now, I have several regular customers that keep me busy.
My current issue is with one of my 'people' that want me to do more than pet sit for them. They're basically needing a little personal concierge attention from me and they want to give me one of their credit cards, do shopping for them, errands, and more! Ohmygosh, I'm overwhelmed with the responsibility. Someone hand me a paper bag before I hyperventilate!
What a wild ride my life has become lately. I'm very busy and I find myself wishing to stay in my jammies all day instead of being all 'go, go, go' all the time. I'm pooped!
Ok, I've prattled on and on long enough. I need to wash the zoo off, get some aloe on my burn and crash for the night! Another busy day is on the books for tomorrow!!
