Wanted: Design Inspiration STAT!!!
Brace yourselves. I'm about to post pictures of my master bathroom. I really love the space, storage issues aside, and I wish I could spend more time in there. But I can't. It is hot. It is boring. It doesn't move me.
Humph. I probably should have straightened up a bit more before taking the pictures! Oh well, it is clean, just not very orderly most of the time. I would love it to be a really clean looking, classy beach-inspired space but I'm not sure what to do to achieve that!
I'm also leaning toward changing my master bedroom into a beachy space as well. I have beach photographs over the bed, which really don't go with anything else. Currently, in my master bedroom, I have sheer red curtains draped over the rods. The room is painted a dark gray and the bedding is a black and white with a brown bed skirt. I'm laughing at myself as I'm posting that because it all looks so crappy together, I can hardly believe I'm admitting it online!
OH WELL! I need help! I'm ready to admit that now. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

If it were me I would have no idea where to start so I would go to the fabric store and find some really great fabric that I love and make curtains for the bathroom windows (well actually I never "make" curtains, I just get a rod and those ring clips and put it up there.)
Looks like a nice space- can't wait to see what you do with it.
I agree with the previous comment!! Find a great fabric that you love and pick your paint colors from that! I also use the ring clips and the raw fabric. No sew is the way to go!! You also could paint your vanity. That would really change the look of the room.
Good Luck!

You might consider painting and skirting your vanity. That would really change the look of the room!
