I got the new car I needed so I could fit more kids in my drive. I'm now the proud owner of a liquid silver, 2008 Hyundai Veracruz. We'll call her Vera for short and I hope she'll be a really good, dependable car for us.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was wonderful. My favorite part about the whole day is the desserts. Especially DH's Grandmother's desserts. She has an amazing knack with sweets and makes fudge, cakes, pies, candies and cookies regularly for our family gathering. Lately, I've been picking her brains for recipes and tips to make my sweets better. She has helped me perfect my apple pies (my favorite!!) and most recently, she has exposed me to the unknown goodness of an apricot pie. OMG! Amazing. I'll share the recipe when I get it. It will be interesting to see how it turns out, I'll need to make my own whipped cream along with the pie. I'm nervous but she's a great teacher so I'm also looking forward to eating my finished product!

I'll be back to decorating and sorting through my house tomorrow and I'll post pictures if I find anything good! I'm planning on having a neighbor make me a wonderful china wrack for my dining room, in lieu of a curio cabinet, I think it would be a wonderful way to get my glass breakables out of my shelves and up some place safer for them.
