Whew....
My husband is a saint.
Today I worked in the kitchen to prepare pumpkin bread loaves for gifts to our family and friends. In all, I made 7 loaves of bread and one batch of cookies. I still have about 2-3 more batches of cookies to make....unless I run out of steam for baking! I am so spent today!
So, my husband is a saint because he thwarted my spaghetti plans for dinner tonight and ordered pizza. :) He's a keeper, right?
Last night I made a fire in the fire place. Riley said it was 'cozy and warm.' Jason made another one tonight with similar rave reviews from the children.
I still haven't finished my shopping!!!! I hardly have a thing for my sainted hubby. Tomorrow I'm going to go chat with my ex-neighbor about some Avon stuff for my mom. We'll see about all that. She's making me a gift basket-type thing which I hope will suit my mother. She's the hardest person to shop for!
I got another pet sitting client yesterday! So the week after Christmas, I'll be babysitting a pup. I really hope that this business remains some-what steady. It is really nice to be able to work in the neighborhood. I had some free business cards made up through Vista Print, which will be nice to leave with customers when I'm talking with them about the services.
So between babysitting full time, sewing part time, and pet sitting part time, I *finally* feel like I'm contributing something to my family's income. I know being a stay at home mom is an important gig, but I was used to being a more active participant in the 'money making' around here. This really does help.
Also, don't laugh, I've been working out on my Wii. I really love it! I'm a pro at the hula hoop, probably from all the belly dancing I've done. :D But there are enough (ok A LOT) of things that I'm not good at and I'm feeling sore from my efforts. My Wii fit age is 41 and my Wii sport age is 53. So I'm charting out a good bit older than I actually am and I'm looking forward to getting that number down as I get in better shape. I'm trying to work out for 30-40 minues a day which is hard for me. I always fine excuses not to do it and have to keep the kids out of the way. It is hard to do.
But anyway, I'm working on it! I want to be fit. :)
