Time to Blog
It is a Wednesday at noon and I am still in my jammies with a sleeping baby in my arms. The fly lady would have a fit. Have you any idea how long it has been since I had a lazy morning like this? Long enough that Riley keeps asking me when we're going to go run errands this morning. HA!
SO, tomorrow, we're headed out again. We are headed to a prospective Mother's Day out program for Riley to start ::next week:: (!!!!) at a gymnastics place. I'm kind of excited about it, truth be told, I'm hoping that he'll learn to be a bit more coordinated up there and how to behave around other children a bit better. He'll go Thursdays from 9-2 and I'll have to pack a lunch for him. It will not be easy for me to find something he'll eat, but whatev. I'll give it a shot.
I had it planned out that he would go to this gymnastics place for the months of April and May.
Then in June, I would transfer him into a local Methodist church summer program 2 days a week.
Then in August, I was planning to switch him to a local Baptist church program for Pre-K.
Does all the switching sound like a bad idea? Here are my reasons, perhaps you can help me sort it out...or perhaps the act of typing it all out will sort me out on my own. :P
Ok, so the gymnastics place is kinda spendy. 10 weeks, one day a week from June 8-Aug 18 for $315, which is about twice what church programs are. The Methodist church is starting to register for MDO over the summer in about a month and that'll be $320 for 2 days a week June 15-July 30. Then the Baptist church is starting a new Pre-K program, no summer program available right now, in the fall. I've heard good things about the church so....we'll see, I've requested information. First step is the gymnastics and we'll see how that goes first!
I'm getting my hair cut on Saturday. I haven't told Hubby that I'm planning on getting it colored too. Won't that be a fun surprise!?!? LOL I haven't really decided what color to go with, but I'm thinking darker, just because blonde is so ....5 minutes ago or something. No really, I have no idea what I'll pick, but I just want a change. :)
So I guess I'll be looking for a Heidi Klum, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie hair cut, my hair is shoulder length now and I don't want it too much shorter. I'm trying to grow it out overall. :) Needs a trim and some style though so we'll have to see what we can get!
My garden is growing! Several of my tiny sprouts passed away, like I suspected they would, but I was able to sprinkle seeds on the soil and ::WHAM:: now I have broccoli and lettuce again. Amazing! My garden is super charged.
We've had tons of wind lately and my green beans have been suffering. Their cage blew over and several of them were injured in that freak accident. We had a candle light vigil for those that were lost and grief counselors were on scene to help the other green beans work through the trauma.
Check this out on Susan's blog Between Naps on the Porch she's got information on one of the parts of her beautiful home that I lusted after the last time I saw pictures! I love that little daisy holder door thingie-ma-bob she's got! So much so, that I went and tried to buy something like it for myself. I'm just missing the flowers just now. I'm planning a trip to Michaels to get some daisies straight away!!
Here is Susan's, it is perfection:
And here's mine, far from complete, but hey, 'ya gotta start some where, right!?!? I'm thinking about peeling off the 'sunflowers' sticker and just leaving it plain. Also, I'm not sure how to keep the daisies from falling out of my container so I might need to buy a foam piece and wedge it in there to hold the stems securely.
And then as I was searching for hair styles, I found this photo which I will leave you with today. I nearly fell out of my chair and wet myself laughing at this one. I hope it tickles you as well!
