Inspiring Swedish Designs
I'm really struck by Swedish antiques. I just love 'em!
After gushing a few blog posts back about the Mora grandfather clocks, I have been on a journey through the interwebz for one and though I have not found a single one in my price range, I have been really impressed with other Swedish pieces. They suit my taste perfectly!
Here, I'll share some with you so you can be inspired too. Photos are courtesy of Midnight Sun, Swedish Antiques and Design.
I love this pop of color in an otherwise crisp looking white room.
I love this mirror!
The contrast on this alabaster hanging light is really spectacular. I love how the rope looks with the hanging light.

This is one of my favorite Mora clocks that I've found the colors are spectacular and the simple shape of it makes me squeeee!! I just know that one day, one of these lovely clocks will fall into my lap and I can't wait!
Take a look at this little beauty of a bench! I know that I will have my peepers peeled in all future thrifting, garage saleing and trade days for a piece of reclaimed wood that I can slap some legs on for a really sweet bench! Simple!
Oh, previously, I couldn't say what type of style or design I really favored. Now, I think I can say with certainty, I really love the Swedish style and my heart wants to just throw everything I have into covering my house with it!

Great collections. :)
Here is a tool you might find useful when you find your slab of wood to re-claim! www.thenailhunter.com. Really a great time, money, and resource saver!! I just pulled my deck apart and was able to get every little staple out of the lattice pieces. These pieces will become frames and a new little mini fence around my flower beds!!
And you're right... that clock is FAB!!
