All accounted for...
And doing fine!!
All the babies are growing and are eager to be fed, apparently!
I've had a few MK facials this week and another tonight. I'm really nervous tonight for some reason! I'm still getting the hang of things. I hate dressing up all the time but the Mary Kay dress code calls for skirts or dresses so I must conform. *slight gag* I need to get some better shoes without super high heels, I would imagine that to most 'normal' people, having a 6'+ tall amazon woman in their home, pimping cosmetics and skin care could be intimidating. I'll keep an eye out at the 2nd hand store and at garage sales! I'll never pay full price again. ;)
Oh and about that, I really will try to buy things for myself and my family 2nd hand from now on, unless I can get a killer deal on new...or if the price difference is very slight. I'm going to spend less from now on.
I was introduced to this neat program for the summer:
http://www.kidsbowlfree.com/
and I signed my family up for it. Sounds like a wonderful way to beat the heat around here! I've also decided to teach the children to swim this summer. We were going to pay for swim lessons, but it isn't in the budget and **I** know how to swim so why couldn't I just teach them myself!?!? So, I'm looking on youtube for instructions on how to specifically teach children how to do what I already know how to do. Should be fun, or at least entertaining to watch! LOLLivi has learned a buncha new words lately, here's a list. :) Her speech has really come a long way lately and I'm pretty impressed!
How (house)
Moo (cow)
Mow (cat)
Mamee (Amy)
Meemo (Nemo)
Yi-eee (Riley)
Minnie
Yeah
Tahk-ew (Thank you)
Eww
Yuck
Me
You
Boots (from Dora)
Go-go (Diego)
Ant
Bite
So, she's coming along then! I'm happy to see her trying to communicate with us now. Before, she was just grunting and pointing at things. We were recommended to enroll her in the Texas Early Childhood Intervention program here and they test kids to see if they qualify. Somehow, she did. Her speech delays were more significant than we realized and they send a developmental specialist and/or a speech pathologist out here 4 times a week. We were initially told to call them when she was about a year old but we blew off the Dr. about her speech because, you know...she'll talk when she's ready....right???, well, she never did! So then by the time she's almost 2 now and she still hasn't started putting things together, we thought we should help her out and it turns out to be just what she needed. Way to feel good about a decision!
Ugh...gotta go, the kids are having a screaming contest. The joys of motherhood await me! :)
BLESSINGS TO YOU!!
